This is a book of nice illustrations and some words from which you will likely gain some sort of inspiration. Like: 'Just because you're struggling, it doesn't mean you're failing... But it might do. 'Nothing beats kindness,' said the cat. Hilarious book bought for a friend who loves pandas. A little disappointed that the book has scuffed corners on the spine and a dirty mark on the front of the book, especially as it's a gift This title is supposed to be taken lightly and make you feel that it's okay to feel the negative range of emotions that you do. I loved the colour palette and the illustrations.💕 It’s lovely to see those moments between them where they show they’re really good friends underneath it all. That rings so true because we all have friends that we spar with or take the piss out of, but underneath there’s a deep bond. It’s those moments that show Magrs’ genius. It’s not just a simple spoof; this is a world we all know and deep down sometimes we’re all a bit like the Panda, aren’t we?If you like your books very sweary (I do!), hilariously funny (I do!) and snarky to the nth degree (yep!) then look no further!! This book has it all! Despite the cute cover and illustrations throughout, this is definitely intended for adults who can cope with strong language from panda bears.

Honestly tho, I've been a fan of Paul Magrs for years. His cynical, gin-sodden, stuffed-toy Panda character is one of my favourite creations and truly he shines in this format.I love it. Genuinely... Really appeals to my warped sense of humour.' - Gary Andrews, author of Finding Joy The surely soon-to-be million-copy bestselling sort-of inspirational parody.. Enter the world of me, Panda, plus my sometime-friends Cat and Teddy. You will find us living our best lives, trying (and occasionally succeeding) to be kind to each other. Even as a book on its own, I didn't like it that much. It tries too hard to be funny, self-deprecating and relatable through the main character 'Panda', who is simply an arsehole and mean to Teddy for no reason. Yes, I love gin and reading too but 🤷 Thank you to @tandemcollectiveuk @harpercollinsuk and @pmagrs for the gifted copy of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂, 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝑻𝒆𝒅𝒅𝒚 🐼🧸😻 I absolutely loved it! The Panda, the Cat and the Dreadful Teddy: a Parody’ by Paul Magrs is a brilliant little illustrated book that sends-up those popular inspirational and mindfulness books that feature animals.

Some examples of the kind of humour in the book: ( TBH, these are the only three lines I actually found a tad funny. The rest were atrocious.) Cute and funny in places but also quite confusing sometimes. I can't tell if there is supposed to be a thread to follow and it is difficult to read some of the writing. If ever there was a time when we needed this book – it’s now. I can’t tell you how much I LOVED it. I’m buying it for EVERYONE!It’s beyond brilliant. It’s going to be a massive hit.’– Milly Johnson, author of The Teashop on the Corner The three titular characters are the ones interacting in this book. Panda is the fun fellow. Cat is supposed to be nice but is a little self-centred, as are most cats. Teddy considers himself the bee’s knees and is not a good friend to the other two. They are all “friends”, just not the nice sorts. I loved it and laughed a great deal. It may prove a perfect gift for my friends that are able to appreciate its cheeky humour this Christmas.Ive bought this twice now, once as a present. Non stop laughter but simple and fab. Are you sitting comfortably? Well, that was probably your first mistake.’
