I listened to book 1, 2 and 3 and waited to review, because honestly book 1 and 2 are just the same old story leading up to the big ending or so I thought. As well as that you get their POV for some Scream for Us scenes and I thought it was very clever how the author wrote the story in a way in which you could enjoy this one without having read the novella. Through the entire series these four friends got caught up in the cause of helping interracial shifters, but along the way there were so many obstacles in their way, but they always stuck together.
I have also listened to the audiobooks for the two novellas, and while they were ok, the audio narration of Bloodshed is tiers above. I believe it’s portrayed in a very real, raw way and you maybe wouldn’t expect that from a smutty book. Goldin is the primary narrator of the film, with additional interviews from associates such as journalist Patrick Radden Keefe and P. At least, with them, we managed to see how intertwined they've become since meeting as teens when Micah was still learning his condition and Jensen was hopping around the foster system. all 3 leading men in this book are all damaged in their own way, Micah, sensitive and understanding of mental health and people's emotions, Jensen, uncertain and always on guard, and Damion the man full of rage.
