Fighting Destiny (The Fae Chronicles Book 1)
About this deal
She is a rule breaker not a rule follower without being unruly for the sake of rebellion, and always has her reasons for doing so. Synthia is an honourable woman, she defends her dignity and refuses to be anything less than what she is. It’s not just saying you love someone—it’s showing them with every fucking breath you take, every look.
I enjoyed the darkness of the story you know you are going to lose people and that everyone might not get a happy ending. Patrick O'Connell has given up everything: banished from his own pack, living in a foreign territory.
Several critics commented that the character designs are uninspired and suffer from low polygon counts and visible seams in their textures.
Competitors though they are, Syn and Ryder’s connection is instant, and passions are ardently searing from their very first meeting. It’s not just saying you love someone – it’s showing them with every fucking breath you take, every look. Jeff Gerstmann wrote in GameSpot, "The unique scoring system and variety of modes make Fighters Destiny a winner. She is sent on a special suicide mission that requires her to break in a heavy security building and kidnap (or kill, I didn't get it) the Prince of Fae - only realise that it was all just a test of loyalty or some bullshit like that. the BEST part of the story… the sexual (and eventual romantic) tension that was simply off the charts! When Syn, a kick-ass-heroine witch, started working out on a strange assignment, lead to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of their times. Syn, a human witch with crazy-awesome powers is contracted by the Dark Fae Prince (prince of darkness <— tee hee! The scent of her need makes me want to pull back the delicate petals of her flower and devour it, consume it, fuck it.
He was Barrons-like (although he could have been worse – which would have been even better for me) 😉 , and 3.Since then, I freaking kid you not, he borrows most of my books – so I just gave him my Kindle and got e new one. There aren’t enough stars on Goodreads for this series ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I can’t recommend it enough.
As doubts continue to overtake her, Ryder is there to seduce her and give her affection and security like she has never felt before. But by far, the worst feature about this book is how many spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes were made throughout the book. If I am remembering right they each are the second in their series, but I do think you can start with them. I was SO excited to have my heart broken over those (there was just so much promise on the misunderstandings and jealous rages they could bring on), but, alas… even though the makings of exquisite love triangle-angst were glaring, they didn’t quite reach that level for me to have my world rocked, ya know?
What started out as a strange assignment, led to one of the most gruesome murder mysteries of our times. If it wasn’t for you, I would have never gotten into the BDB series and I would have never gotten to meet Z…sigh…. Have you ever heard of the old Celtic legends of the Fae - beautiful, magical, and deadly creatures that have a love of messing with humans just for kicks and giggles?
