About this deal

From rocking it, rubbing and patting it, tapping the shell (gently) and when you place it down on the table it rocks from side to side which is rather cool. If you give them their rattle they will sing a nursery rhyme and the egg base is a good place for a red eyes time out! Rainbow eyes are the sign we were waiting for as that shows that it is hatching time and you will soon be able to meet your new friend. To activate you need to hold the back of it's head until its eyes turn purple and it stops moving, then tap its forehead ( between and just above its eyes) and back of the head twice. Launched today, HatchiBabies is the latest addition to the Hatchimals family and they need lots of love and care to help them hatch and come to life.

As soon as the top of the egg had completely come away, the HatchiBaby started to play a little tune of Hatchy Birthday and my children helped their new addition out of the egg. Your Hatchibaby is lots of fun straight away because it is really interesting even at the egg stage. When the eyes cycle through a rainbow of colours, then you'll hear your baby start hatching (you can hear the motor movement inside the egg). We were lucky enough to get our hands on this must have Christmas toy for a sneak peak at what you will find inside the HatchiBaby egg.To make your Hatchibaby do their secret trick simply hold the back of the baby’s head until the eyes turn purple and then touch their forehead sensor (between the straps of the bow) twice at the same time. If you’d like to see the girl version of Ponette you can read my lovely friend Laura’s fantastic review here. The Hatchibaby is an excellent gift which will keep them busy all Christmas Day and then they have a very well made and cleverly interactive toy to play with forever. The Hatchibaby also comes with four accessories a hairbrush, rattle, bottle and cuddly toy which the Hatchimal interacts with. The Hatchimals HatchiBaby comes in two adorable species Ponette and Cheetree which come as either a boy or a girl.

The Hatchibaby will stand up by itself and even dance, but the high chair is brilliant for storage and keeping all of the accessories in one place and safe. As soon as we had removed the locks , the egg started to light up, move and make cute little noises. It is really exciting to be able to interact with your HatchiBaby in its egg and it really helps to build up the excitement of the new arrival by tapping, tilting, rocking, rubbing and patting the egg.I was surprised by how much there was do to with the Hatchimal and he’s proven really popular with both of my kids and think they’ll continue to be entertained by him for a good while yet. At almost eight, Elizabeth needed a little help understanding some of the instructions but is able to play with it independently. I can see this being an absolute must have for many children this year, and would advise getting hold of one now, while you can – they sell out fast! You don’t need to worry about Hatchibabies making noise through the night as after two minutes of no interaction, they will fall asleep until you interact with them again. I think the accessories are such a great addition and the HatchiBabies respond to each one differently, it really adds to the fun factor.
