About this deal

And although I found the whole thing with his father a massive what the fuck I’ll take it over the rest. the character development, the different relationship + friendship dynamics, the angst, magnolia + julian? these two touch my heart, it’s like they reach into my chest, wrap their arms around my heart and hug it. it wasn’t easy for her, she left her whole friend group, her brother, and the love of her life behind. I honestly came into this book expecting to rag on him like I do for the previous books, but I had very few complaints.

this series will have you pulling your hair, screaming into your pillow, sobbing, frustrated, happy, comforted, etc. I don't know what you did to upset this author but you better get on your knees and beg for forgiveness because it is very clear this author is holding a grudge.this book would 100% have been a five-star read if i had gotten a little more daisychristian and a little less magnolia. On top of this unbearable mess with Magnolia (made worse by her usual dumb ass and whiny behavior) I’m convinced the author doesn’t know shit about how the mafia works because WHO in their right minds would hold a mafia G6 meeting in their own fucking house (which by the way the police knows very well) and survive it? his povs literally ruined everything good in this book AKA the relationship thats ACTUALLY worth reading about: christian and daisy.

AND TO THINK THAT IVE ALREADY READ EVERYTHING THAT WENT DOWN BETWEEN MAGNOLIA AND JULIAN IN LONG WAY HOME? she has to move back in with her brother, whom she hasn’t spoken to in a long time, not only that but she also has to face the love of her life, whom she hasn’t spoken to either since she left him, or did he leave her ? I love Julian and seeing another guy fell in love with a girl that we all know isn't going to love him was really fucking painful. Anyway, some parts of this book felt like a different Daisy than from book 1, especially when it came to the Tiller relationship. I like a lot what happens between Jud, Barnsey, Christian and Daisy, it was complex, heartbreaking and beautiful.

my love’s DaisyChris deserve a whole ESSAY for how adorable they were — or would’ve been if we had more content of them just being cute *gets a murderous glint in eyes* — ugh there were two iconic scenes in this book and I loved them! everything always has to revolve around Magnolia and the Kylie Jenner of London (yes BJ, i'm talking about you). I put it out of my mind that it’s my favourite feeling on the planet, that there are no arms, not even those of my boyfriend — who I’ll remind you that I do love — there are no arms that feel like Christian’s arms.

If you haven’t read this book PLEASE GO and witness the way their conversations can bore a person to death! Even the cover points towards Julian, another disappointment, as the story-telling tattoos feel repetitive after learning how important BJ’s tattoos about Magnolia are in MP1 and MP2. honestly: how did that mf even fall in love with her when all they did was spend hours naked on his desk?

Julian and Christian switched personalities in this book, but instead of being a funny pathetic like Christian was, he's just a sad pathetic. since I didn’t read mp:tlwh cause I don’t like Magnolia and BJ that much so I didn’t know that some of what happened here was the same as from that book so that’s why I’m okay with it. Some people have freckles sprinkled on their noses, other people have eyes clear like water, or hair that’s the colour of the night, but me?

i despised her thing with tiller, if i thought daisychristian had no chemistry in dh1, wow was i really showed absolutely no chemistry! my heart does break for him, because he’s a gang-lord that word always makes me cringe a little ngl, and loving someone means putting them in danger, which makes things a lot more complicated for him.she did not get on my nerves and she was actually kind of bearable sometimes, considering that in the other books this girl was a master manipulator that somehow managed to ruin the life of every single friend she's ever had.
