About this deal

On top of awesome development, the plot of following the hockey career of these two was so much fun. And if someone says, “They can’t be together because they can’t risk it” or anything similar, that is exactly why the forbidden part failed.

I’m just going to quit looking for Kindle reads myself and start reading everything you recommend instead. They were only 17 back when they first met and they are already 26 when they finally take a real chance at falling in love with each other. This book you totally get the connection, the feelings, the history and I just want to keep relistening over and over.If I didn’t know book 6 was going to be a sequel for the Shane and Ilya, I would have liked this book even less. First, I just want to say that I have been completely blown away and giddy over the love and support Heated Rivalry has received since its release in March.

I don’t know if when the author wrote Game Changer if she planned ahead with the other books in the series, but it’s so weird to look back now and realize there’s no mention of Shane in book one, or even that Ilya is rivals with him. This was a much more intense closeted hockey player story than the first book, since there’s now TWO players trying to keep their relationship a secret, but this book doesn’t quite have the levity I was expecting after reading the other books in this series. Then there’s a line thrown in where Ilya mentions that he’s worried that this is hereditary and he could one day have Alzheimer’s too and we just don’t really circle back to this or address that at all in this book. I find that things get mentioned in this story that has no payoff in the end and I just don’t understand it.

I can see why so many people prefer this book to the first book, but personally I don’t love it as much as Game Changer. Then the story takes us back to their teen years before they go to the NHL and we see their relationship develop over the years. I was hooked from the very beginning, actually vibrating with the tension and overall epicness of it all. His smile was lopsided and lazy, and his teeth were unnaturally white due to most of them not being real. But of course, both of those last scenes then had to be ruined by making them sexual because the two were pretty damn incapable of having one scene where they simply talked.

I also seldom want to start a book over immediately upon finishing it and I'm still tempted to jump back in this bublé.He drew me into the story, and while known to me, he still k Sirius started reading books when she was four and reading and discussing books is still her favorite hobby. No love, no affection, just SLAM YOU AGAINST THE DOOR AND SHOVE MY TONGUE DOWN YOUR THROAT kind of sex.

I consider it rivals to lovers and not enemies to lovers (although I’m having trouble understanding the lovers part) because the two are so competitive and always try beating each other during their games. I want to say that they have hate sex once or twice, but I already forgot with all the sex they had.

I have already purchased the next book in this series, and I will be probably keep reading/listening as long as the characters are still engaging.
