After failing a star Quarterback and getting into a row with the students father about passing him anyway so he can play football, Jenna's now become a target to sick games but is this the serial killer, or an angry students revenge? Stephen was a very nice guy who certainly didn't deserve the cruel way in which his first wife abandoned him and their children.
I love how she stood up to a bullying parent and wouldn't back down on the failing grade she gave his son even though her weaselly principle wouldn't support her in that decision and she started receiving threats because of it. But there's a bright light in his life: his son's teacher, Jenna Marshall, has reached out to help, and slowly she and Steven are falling in love.Rose has created complex, realistic characters in high school teacher Jenna Marshall and Special Agent Steven Thatcher, whose eldest son, Brad, is in Jenna's class. The romance was well done, and evolved with a natural tempo organic to the character development and plot. Severe jealousy and posessiveness are deeply unattractive qualities in a man and turned me off the hero.
