I usually purée them and their sauce into a paste, then transfer to tupperware or an ice cube tray for long-term storage. Chipotles in Adobo Sauce is one of my favorite ingredients to add to my recipes because it brings a complex mix of flavors that always takes a meal from good to amazing. If the heat is too much, remember you can always rinse them before use or even take the seeds out to lower the spice level. These are so full flavored and satisfying, they please everyone around the table: even the meat lovers!

When I need one or two I break them off of the clump in the bag and chop them frozen or add to my recipe.
