About this deal

Galaxy refined concepts that EAD Tokyo introduced in Jungle Beat; Koizumi reflected that Jungle Beat provided him with the experience to create engaging gameplay with a simple control scheme in Galaxy.

Jungle Beat is designed for use with the DK Bongos, a bongo drum-style GameCube controller created for the Donkey Konga (2003) rhythm game. After they make a lot of loud noise, DK becomes discouraged and admits that he and Diddy are not good at playing the bongos. It was praised for its wide appeal; possessing both a simplicity targeted at new gamers, and a complex, skill-oriented combo system to attract more hardcore gamers. Release [ edit ] Donkey Kong Jungle Beat was released for the GameCube ( pictured) in Japan in December 2004 and in the West in early 2005.We appreciate the simplicity of the idea, but in the absence of the hidden depths we normally expect from this sort of game - or the ritual humiliation we now demand - it ultimately wears thin far too quickly. The individuals wore Jungle Beat-branded clothing, carried DK Bongos, and chanted the game's title as they ran. At the end of each kingdom, the total sum of beats (after deducting any damage taken during the boss fight) is tallied.

As the player starts the game, they select a kingdom to explore; there are 16 kingdoms in total, which become available as the campaign progresses. Whether you’re playing solo or engaging in multiplayer drumming sessions with friends, the Donkey Konga Bongos offer a unique and entertaining way to experience the world of Donkey Kong. It was certainly an odd decision for Nintendo to take one of its most beloved characters and place him in a music game, but one needn't worry about this being a quick cash-in on a suddenly popular genre. The debut project of the 65-member Nintendo EAD Tokyo, Jungle Beat 's development began around July 2003, after Shigeru Miyamoto suggested that Nintendo should commission a new Donkey Kong game. Between most levels, there is a short minigame where the player must tap the bongos as fast as they can to earn extra bananas.

During gameplay, Donkey Kong earns two coins for every beat that he hits with perfect timing, or one coin for regularly-timed beats. The Japanese, North American, and PAL region versions have different track lists, and in the North American version of the first two games, almost all of the licensed non-Nintendo/traditional songs are shortened covers. This game is unique from the other DK games because it has a bigger focus on rhythm rather than previous platforming adventures.

During the Refurbish and Inspection process, original games and accessories may have minor internal or external parts replaced with brand new 3rd party parts including but not limited to switches, capacitors, buttons, plastic disk cases, batteries, etc. There are tracks from the Mario series, The Legend of Zelda series, and other Nintendo related music.Take Your Game to the Next Level with Donkey Kong Jungle Beat; Control the Action in Nintendo's New Video Game with a Set of Bongos" ( press release). Donkey Kong Barrel Blast was originally planned to use the Bongos before it was switched from the Nintendo GameCube to the Wii. Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong are sitting on a beach one day when they come across some mysterious objects that resemble barrels.

It features a simple plot: Donkey Kong sets out on a journey to defeat a series of evil kings and conquer the jungle. Beats also serve as Donkey Kong's health, as the player loses beats if they are damaged by enemies or hazards. It has two "pads" on each side, although it is known that each pad has actually two different parts to them. Development was led by director Yoshiaki Koizumi and producer Takao Shimizu, who sought to create a simple, accessible game in contrast to more complex contemporary games.

Donkey Kong - When choosing whether to display the screen in 50Hz or 60Hz, Mario (as he appears in Donkey Kong) acts as a cursor, and Donkey Kong (also as he appears in Donkey Kong) stands to the left. This unique and interactive accessory takes gaming to a new level, allowing you to drum along to the beat, create music, and experience the joy of rhythm in the world of Donkey Kong. All refurbished products go through our Refurbish and Inspection process to insure workability and are backed by a 1 year warranty. Although positive to the game, they considered more as rental than purchase due to its short length.
