About this deal

The coffee really softens the rose from being the star of the show and the caramel, woods and vanilla give it a bit of body and sweetness. If you just smell the sillage it’s nice though, a rich deep spicy Rose, but I’m a wrist sniffer haha. I know for myself there’s a big portion of the opening and earlier parts of the dry down that while without hesitation I absolutely love and appreciate, I’d much rather be smelling on a woman than myself.

The coffee note is prominent, the roses create a slight tilt to the feminine side, yet the fragrance presents itself as unisex. The OG is a good scent, but it is a complete duplicate of Mancera's Roses Vanille, which I already own and love. I definitely have a favorite, which tbh switches from time to time, so I need them both in my collection. Overall I prefer intense cafe to RIT because I prefer something more feminine with a stronger vanilla dry down.It doesn’t really help that out doesn’t really have any discernible notes, it’s just something sweet and syrupy that makes me go: I’ve smelled this before. Then transforms into a strong dark more sultry rose scent and this is the scent the perfume will have for the rest of your day. i like how intoxicating and bold it is, but it does get tiresome after a few hours for someone like myself who gets easily nauseated. Designed to protect the essence it encases, and to contribute to its overall development, the bottle has been specially made in aluminium. Speaking of spotting the perfume from miles away--- yes, longevity is eternal and sillage is massive.

I bought a sample and then realized it is indeed similar but has strong coffee scant that Gentle Fluidity doesn’t have.

Ristretto Intense Cafe Extrait is nearly identical, but there is a burst of fresh dark coffee beans in the beginning. Three hours into first spray I can barely detect rose - that coffee note is really pleasant now, still boozy but not so in one's face.

After the opening phase, the already very potent rose gains in intensity but contrarily to the OG, coffee is perceptible in the background. Huge projection, massive longevity, and while I can still sense the original, it is not redundant in the least! I just put on a sweater I was wearing yesterday that had this on and I was impressed with how much the scent stuck to the fabric. Sadly this turns into the typical musky-rose combo so well known by now, mixed with a healthy dose of vanilla. It's so rich and dense that I can only wear a couple of sprays and only on cold days - otherwise it can be headache-inducing.

I love Intense Café the OG but this one is quite nauseating to me:( I see a lot of people love this one more than the OG, but, sample first. But you get a nice cup of Coffee Macchiato (maybe because of caramel note) with a first sniff right away.I realized I'm actually not a fan of the coffee note unless if it's subdued and well blended into the perfume, like it is in Intense Cafe. I don't see myself being able to love this one like IC especially since that had me swooning from the first minute I smelt that. Second time around I got some coffee - but it's not black coffee or freshly ground coffee beans, and it's not strong or overly obvious. I get tons of coffee and zero rose, while with Intense Cafe I get zero coffee and all (somewhat synthetic) rose. It’s actually a bit masculine leaning in my opinion, but the community definitely seems to disagree.
