About this deal

Jacqueline's books include The Story of Tracy Beaker, which has become a hugely successful BBC TV series; Girls in Love, which together with its two sequels was filmed for ITV television; and Double Act, which she adapted for Channel 4 and which won the Royal TV Society's Best Children's Fiction Award. Jacqueline Wilson is THE author to go to when looking for a good book for young girls although to be honest her old stuff is a lot more interesting and meaning compared to the new.

If there is a sequel to this book, I hope it addresses the neglect and abuse that these kids suffer from. My Overall rating of this book would be one hundred and fifty percent out of one hundred percent because i love this book very much. I was very impressed by how this novel captures the struggles of early motherhood – from the simple things of trying to pack a nappy bag and get babies ready to go for a walk to the massive, massive psychological change you go through when you become a mother. It’s quick and easy to read as a great summer thriller should be, though ultimately it left me dissatisfied.Sunset lives with her model mum, her rockstar dad, her cute celebrity sister and her cute celebrity brother. While Lauren plots a way to get her own babies back, Jo discovers that a similar case happened 40 years before.

Destiny spills an exciting secret she has known for years and her mum has constantly reminded her about. Some of Wilson’s books are brilliant, but as with any prolific author, some of the themes and characters tend to blur into one another somewhat. I am not going to divulge any more of the plot as I don’t want to spoil it by giving too much away, however it’s safe to say that if you like a psychological thriller that will keep you guessing until the very end, then this is definitely a book for you.The idea of changelings is closely examined in this work and I loved how many chapters began with little excerpts from various fairy tales focused on that topic. Destiny and Sunset are beautifully drawn characters, voices from utterly different worlds finding their own identities against the odds. However, since plot development is crucial to the story, I'll be keeping this review on the shorter and less detailed side of things so as not to give too much of anything away. In true jaqueline Wilson style it followed the story of two separate young girls one wealthy, one poor. It is either a rare cynical ending to a Wilson tale, or a startling departure from her usual morality.

But life on the red carpet is no compensation for arguing parents, media scrutiny, and having no real friends. Destiny, on the other hand, is an only child living on a rundown estate with a sickly but devoted mum who constantly tells her that she’s really the daughter of a famous rock star .It was interesting to see how much of a difference there is between a rich child and a poorer child. Her writing makes you anxious and jumpy, worried that something will steal out of the shadows to take what’s yours.

The book is a take on the folkloric tales of changelings, I hadn’t read any other books or stories about them, so this was new to me. She’s an only child with a sickly but devoted mum who constantly tells her she’s the daughter of a famous Rockstar. A volcanic eruption is quite another, for, as the journalist who does a framing voice-over narration for Brooks’ latest puts it, when Mount Rainier popped its cork, “it was the psychological aspect, the hyperbole-fueled hysteria that had ended up killing the most people. In 2007 Jacky Daydream was published, an inspirational true story of how a shy schoolgirl became a superstar author. She has been employed in many occupations including farm hand, factory worker, childminder and music teacher. It is about two girls and about how they met and how they keep a relationship going and quite a big and shocking secret is revealed.
