The Me Before You DVD was the surprise hit Romcom of 2016 starring Emilia Clarke, Sam Claflin and Janet McTeer. Me before you / New Line Cinema and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures present ; a Sunswept Entertainment production ; produced by Karen Rosenfelt, Alison Owen ; screenplay by Jojo Moyes ; directed by Thea Sharrock. Embarking together on a series of adventures, both Lou and Will get more than they bargained for, and find their lives—and hearts—changing in ways neither one could have imagined. Her cheerful attitude is put to the test when she becomes a caregiver for Will Traynor (Sam Claflin), a wealthy young banker left paralyzed from an accident two years earlier.

The film debut of British stage director Thea Sherrock, Me Before You looks nice with its abundance of sunny photography and scenic locales. Moyes' book was loosely inspired by a real person's paralysis story, but that doesn't excuse the questionable message it sends.

Will is still extremely wealthy and handsome, but he is depressed having to sit in a wheelchair all day and being unable to perform the activities he used to love. Synopsis: Young and quirky Louisa "Lou" Clark (Emilia Clarke) moves from one job to the next to help her family make ends meet.
