About this deal

It’s a super small and compact offering that will sit neatly on any surface and doesn’t use electricity to run. com/p/reviews/Midea-50-Pint-CUBE-Smart-Dehumidifier-with-Pump-3X-More-Water-Capacity-ENERGY-STAR-MOST-EFFICIENT-for-up-to-4-500-sf-MAD50PS1QGR/315869075/1" on this server. I've found a spot for one where it can continuous drain into a utility sink, but the other has such a massive bucket that it won't require emptying probably more than once a week now that the initial knock-down has been completed.

To set up the Midea for use, you simply lift the main section out of the base, turn it 90 degrees, and set it back down inside the base; two indentations hold the main part up, leaving room for water to collect below. Think small window air conditioner, not box fan (in terms of electricity use) and you have the idea.We found setting it at around 40 per cent would remove most moisture from the air, making it ideal if you’re using it in the kitchen to battle condensation or if you have a particularly damp space. However, three gallons of water weighs about 25 pounds; if you’d rather not lug that much liquid, you can set the dehumidifier to a lower fill level. By lifting up the main unit, you separate it from the base, which serves as a bucket that collects water. UPDATE**** The Midea stopped working on the app again while I was away from home and I could not restart it from the app. Dehumidifiers work by removing any excess water from the air and lowering humidity levels, which can get rid of damp, mould, pollutants and allergens.

Finally, we were impressed with the nano silver filter built into the design, which will help trap dust and allergens. What’s more, its design makes it very easy to empty, and the smart controls are also very handy when you want to monitor it from afar. When you tap the panel, you’ll open a screen with a Target Humidity slider, two Fan Speed buttons, and a slider that lets you set the above-mentioned fill level (1-4).

I would recommend this unit and if it were in the house I am sure it would be doing a fantastic job by itself. It’s really easy to use, too – there are no settings to get used to, just one simple button to switch it on and get it to work. While, normally, they’d be sitting on the clothes horse for a couple of days, by using this machine, they were all cupboard dry within 24 hours. If you have a particularly humid environment, you can also connect a small drain hose to the bottom of the unit and have it empty out into a sink or wherever. I ran it on and off for a few weeks in my home, and loved how easy it was to empty: Just lift the top section off, then carry the bucket outside and dump it — it was ideal for watering the flowers.
